    It would be going too far to call the Kalkofen the lean one in the Bürklin-Wolf GG stable, but it has a slightly more herbaceous slant, and with elements of grapefruit and lime the the fruit certainly exhibits a noticeable degree of acidity. Nevertheless the creamy texture, full body and considerable substance contribute to an overall generous expression.

    Slightly herbal aromas of white peach, woodsmoke and mint. Vibrant peach pit, spicy minerality and chalky acidity shape the shape. Finely balanced wine with a cool, minty finish and impressive length. Still a bit closed but has the makings of a great dry Riesling.

    En af Tysklands bedste tørre Riesling vine! Druerne er økologiske og stammer fra den prestigefyldte Grand Cru mark, Kalkofen, der er kendt for sin betydelige mineralitet. Kalkofen Riesling G.C. byder på en generøs bouquet af stikkelsbær, pære og citrus. Smagen er stor, tør og uhyre kraftfuld, og man mærker virkelig druernes perfekte modenhed. I den ekstremt lange eftersmag åbenbares noter af eksotisk frugt efterfulgt af en betydelig mineralitet, som givetvis kun vil øges i takt med at vinen modnes. En af Tysklands bedste tørre Riesling-vine.
