2016 Château de Francs Les Cerisier Franc Côtes de Bordeaux

Château de Francs is one of the oldest châteaux in Bordeaux with a history dating back almost 2000 years. The château is located in the smallest and somewhat forgotten wine region Côtes de Franc, on the right bank of Bordeaux, about 20 km from Saint-Émilion. The owners of this little gem of a château are none other than Hubert de Boüard co-owner of Angélus and Dominique Hebrard former co-owner of Cheval Blanc, so it's no wonder that the quality is top notch. Château Franc Les Cerisiers is the château's Top Cuvée. The top wine is made from hand-picked grapes from the château's oldest vines, growing in a clay and limestone soil - the same soil type as on the famous Saint-Émilion plateau.
