2016 Château Carbonnieux rouge Cru Classé Pessac

Carbonnieux is one of the largest châteaux in Pessac-Léognan and has been in the Perrin family since 1958. Denis Dubourdieu, a highly respected oenologist and researcher at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology, has worked as an advisor at the château since the mid-1980s and has managed to bring both the red and white wines up to a high level of quality. Today it is one of the most remarkable châteaux in Pessac-Léognan, offering a coveted quality/price level. The wine has a delicious bouquet of dark berries, dark cocoa, smoked oak and some spices. It is a very refined and characteristic Pessac-Léognan in the typical soft and full-bodied style, with both depth and length of flavour.
