2015 Menetou Salon Blanc Domaine Bernard Fleuriet

Menetou-Salon is the unknown little sister of Sancerre. The wines here are perhaps less concentrated, but on the other hand very elegant. The appellation is not so well known outside France, but there are not many wine bars in Paris that do not serve Menetou-Salon. The grape is of course Sauvignon Blanc and the vinification exactly the same. The wine has an elegant and almost clear colour with a captivating bouquet with hints of freshly picked white flowers and a slight exotic touch, a fine and very elegant, fresh and spicy flavour that finishes with a hint of salt.
