2015 Ch Peybonhomme-les-Tours Cru Bourg. Blaye Bordeaux

The wine is made from Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet-Franc and Malbec which are grown on very clayey and chalky soils. The chalk lies deep in the subsoil and here the vines get the touch of minerality that connoisseurs believe makes the wine something special. The wine is vinified with spontaneous fermentation using wild yeast. The wine is aged for 2 months in French oak barrels that are 1-3-years-old to preserve the beautiful fruit and freshness. The wine has a lovely and very fruity bouquet with hints of cherry and other red berries, a slightly spicy and full-bodied and complex flavour, which finishes with an elegant minerality.
