2014 Barolo Boiolo Arnaldo Rivera

Made from selected grapes from the Boiolo vineyard in La Morra, where the vines grow in a dark, cool clay soil on south-east facing slopes at an altitude of 420 metres. After gentle fermentation, the wine is aged in large new French oak barrels for 32 months. The result is an exciting Barolo with an intense deep ruby red colour. Expressive and rich aroma of red berry fruit with light touches of rose petals and sweet spice. Beautifully full-bodied with velvety but noticeable tannin structure in the mouth. Deep cool fruit and underlying notes of toast and spice. A fine example of the terroir of the Boiolo vineyard.
