    Vosne-Romanée Les Champs Perdrix

    Vosne Romanée har den största koncentrationen av de bästa vingårdarna i Côte d'Or - inte minst den legendariska Romanée Conti - men är också känd för att producera utmärkta viner på 1. nivå Cru och Village. Perrot-Minots har 0,4 hektar av över 45 år gamla vinrankor som ligger strax ovanför Grand Cru-fälten La Grande Rue, La Romanée och Romanée-Conti, i samma leriga kalkstensjord. Detta utmärkta läge gör det möjligt att producera ett vin med stjärnkvaliteter. Inte överraskande är att vinrödsexperten Allen Meadows från Burghound ofta ger detta vin specialpriset "Outstanding". Ett elegant vin med aromer av mogna hallon, körsbär och inslag av violett och lätt krydda. Vacker balans mellan mogen frukt, färsk syra och silkesmjuka tanniner i smaken som slutar med en utsökt subtil mineralitet och utmärkt längd.

The sleek and rich but agreeably textured and rich middle weight flavors possess fine length if not quite the overall complexity of the old vines Chambolle. Lovely and very well-balanced and with time in bottle it is entirely possible that this will catch its stable mate.

The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasing succulence on the entry; there is a touch of orange zest infusing the red cherries and strawberry, whilst the tannin impart a slight chalky texture and tension on the finish. This is worth checking out once in bottle, but give it 3-4 years.
