Ruta Grappa Museum
Grappa with herbal extract of the plant rue (Ruta Graveolens), which in the Middle Ages was cultivated as a medicinal herb in monastery gardens against stomach problems and plague. The plant has blue-green leaves and small yellow flowers shaped like a cross when they bloom - a divine symbol and therefore believed to ward off evil spirits. Poli's Ruta Grappa is made from grape marc from local grape varieties and has been steeped with fresh oak. The result is a grappa with complex herbal notes and a lovely bitter bite. A wonderful digestif after the big feast. It is recommended to serve this grappa at 18-20 degrees in tulip-shaped glasses.
