Champagne Reflet d´Antan Bérêche et Fils

Reflet d'Antan is a very special cuvee, made partly from grapes from a given vintage (approx. 66%) and partly from wine from a solera system (approx. 33%) (Solera is known from Sherry production), which is renewed annually with equal parts of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, depending on how much is bottled from the 600 litre oak barrels (demi-muids) that have been used since the mid-1990s. The aroma is as distinctive as the production method of this Champagne; powerful and voluminous, roasted nuts, herbs, bittersweet flowers. The notes are echoed in the flavour along with a nice acidity that makes the mouth water - in a good way!
