2017 Sylvaner Domaine Weinbach

The Sylvaner grape is rarely allowed to feature in Alsatian wines, but it certainly does in Weinbach's exquisite Sylvaner. The wine is made from grapes from the Clos des Capucins vineyard, and the unique microclimate allows the grape to realise its full potential. The aroma is lightly perfumed with nuances of flowers and quince. The flavour is dominated by an intense apple aroma and a light fruit sweetness, which is balanced by a perfectly measured, crisp fruit acidity.
