2016 La Croix Beaucaillou Saint-Julien

There is a good reason that Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is called Saint-Juliens Lafite-Rothschild. The château always produces wines with enormous finesse and elegance and often has the same quality level as Premier Crus - if it doesn't beat them by far. In recent years, the results have been so exceptional that the château has been elevated to cult status, making the wines almost unobtainable. Lacoste Borie is the château's second wine, made from grapes from the estate's young vines. The wine is lighter and matures faster than the château's first wine, but you can clearly taste the kinship. A beautiful and classic wine with the characteristic full-bodied structure that characterises the great wines of Saint-Julien.
