The château is owned by the Casteja family, who also own Ch. Batailley and Ch. Trottevielle. Since the estate underwent a radical modernisation in the 1970s, the quality of the wine has steadily increased vintage by vintage. Today, Château Lynch-Moussas is fully worthy of its classification, even at a very attractive price. Stylistically, the wine is among the more delicate and elegant in Pauillac, and will usually be enjoyed quite young. It has an engaging bouquet of black fruit and hints of vanilla from the oak barrel ageing, and a flavour with plenty of juice and power for a long shelf life.
