Château Desmirail 3. Cru Margaux

Château Desmirail is a renowned 3rd Cru Classé chateau that dates back to the 1700s, when it was part of the large original Rauzan estate. The previous owner ran into financial difficulties at the start of World War II and ended up selling the land. This meant that no wine was made under the name Château Desmirail from 1940 until 1981, by which time the Lucien Lurton family had spent a decade buying the fields and finally the entire château. The family spent the next 10 years renovating and modernizing the wine cellar and optimizing the fields. From the 90s onwards, the quality started to increase dramatically and today the chateau is known for impressive quality with sky-high international ratings. Iconic oenologist Boissenot has been consulting at the chateau for many years, creating a 1st wine with incredible elegance and complexity. Translated using AI.
