2016 Château Clerc Milon 5. Cru Pauillac

Château Clerc-Milon was bought in 1970 by the Rothschild family and is perfectly situated as a neighbour to both Mouton-Rothschild and Lafite-Rothschild. The wine has a deep ruby red colour, a fruity and a very complex bouquet of ripe berries. It is powerful and well-balanced with a very full yet soft structure, and plenty of ripe tannins in fine harmony. It is a characteristic and classic Pauillac with an exuberant, creamy and sweet style, where you feel the kinship with "big brother" Mouton. In recent years, the château has begun to experiment with the Carmenère grape variety, and the results are promising
