2016 Château Angélus 1. Grand Cru Classé "A" Saint-Emilion

In the early 80s, the renowned oenologist Pascal Rimbereau arrived at the château and introduced oak barrel ageing, which has led to eminent quality improvements. At the same time, the owner of the château, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, has introduced a more selective harvest. This has contributed to the fact that the château in the Reclassification anno 1996 achieved Premier Grand Cru Classé "A", which is the highest status in the appellation. The wine has reaped the magic 100P multiple times.
