2015 Wachenheimer Altenburg 1. Cru Pfalz Dr. Bürklin-Wolf

In Palatinate, Bürklin-Wolf has long classified the wines after French inspiration and the Riesling from the Gaisböhl vineyard is Premier Cru, one of the best. This is marked with a P.C. on the wine label. The Altenburg vineyard is located in the municipality of Wachenheim, and wines from here have been famous since the early 15th century. The Altenburg vineyard, with a history dating back to the Middle Ages, is one of the best in Wachenheim. Bürklin-Wolf owns 0.4 hectares of the 1.22 hectare vineyard. The vineyard is situated on east-facing slopes. Altenburg Riesling P.C. offers an engaging expressive bouquet of citrus and minerals. The flavour is very elegant with creamy fruit, nice structure and a fine acidity. The aftertaste is long, elegant and minerally. The wine can be stored for 10-15 years.
