2015 Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva Alto Adige Magnum Terlan

On the south-facing slopes of the Monzoccolo mountain in the Terlano DOC area lies Vorberg with steep, sunny vineyards at an altitude of 450-950 metres above sea level. On this unique terroir the unique Pinot Bianco grapes are grown that make up Cantina Terlan's Vorberg cuvée. The grapes are harvested by hand and both fermented and aged (12 months) in traditional oak barrels. The result is a wine that impresses with its minerality and stands as the finest example of the Pinot Bianco grape's full potential. Vorberg Pinot Bianco is a fascinating study of aromatic complexity with its combination of ripe honeydew melon, white peach, pear and Golden Delicious apple with notes of quince jelly, dried orange, pineapple and jasmine playing off mineral salty notes of graphite and flint.
