2015 Riesling Kellerberg Wachau Pichler-Krutzler

Riesling from the famous Kellerberg vineyard. The dizzyingly steep vineyards are bathed in sun from early morning and at night cold air flows in from the neighbouring forests, encouraging the development of complex and delicate aromas. In autumn, there are large temperature differences between day and night, which adds to the complexity. The roots of the vines penetrate extremely deep into the poor rocky soil, which gives the wines a unique minerality. The wines from Kellerberg always fascinate with their great complexity and elegance. The hand-harvested grapes are fermented with natural wild yeast before the wine is aged for 8 months on the lees for additional complexity. The wine has exciting smoky notes in the aroma, juicy peaches and apricots, passion fruit and lots of minerality, nice fullness and long aftertaste.
