2015 Pinoteamo Penedès Gramona Infanterrible

Pinot grapes are not typical of the Penedès area but, like the naughty boy of the class (Infanterrible), they thrive among the area's classic grape varieties in Gramona's organically and biodynamically cultivated vineyards. Gramona has handpicked the Pinot grapes and fermented half of them in steel tanks and the other half in oak barrels and the result is a unique, exciting and delicious wine with a light golden colour and expressive aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, peach, melon and pear with hints of herbs, hay and white flowers. Beautifully rich and full-bodied with lots of fruit in the flavour with fresh balancing acidity and with a touch of bitterness in the long aftertaste. A wine that proves that sometimes it pays to break the norms!
