    Luca Malbec

    Luca Malbec is made from grapes grown on ungrafted vines in the Altamira super-area in the Gualtallary district. The wine is neither clarified nor filtered before bottling. The end result is a jet black wine, in the most literal sense of the word. The aroma offers cascades of concentrated cherry fruit with notes of mocha, vanilla and eucalyptus. The flavour is very rich and full-bodied, and the aftertaste is incredibly long. Luca Malbec possesses excellent ageing qualities, but it is probably few who will be able to keep their hands off this sumptuous wine.

There is a slightly blurriness in the nose here, not as focused as previous vintages, a little musky and with hints of decayed flowers. The palate feels better, with good freshness and tasty flavors. 156,000 bottles were produced.
