2015 Condeminal Malbec Uco Valley Mendoza

The grapes come from their vineyards in the Tupungato area at an altitude of 1300 metres. At this altitude, the sunlight is very bright and intense while nights in particular are cooler, giving a longer ripening period. The grapes therefore develop both a thicker skin, more aromatic complexity and a nice ripeness without losing acidity and so natural freshness. The grapes are harvested by hand and handled with extreme care, for example, the grapes and wine are only moved from harvest boxes to standing tanks and to the bottle by gravity (without the use of pumps). The result is a beautiful ruby red wine with purple hints. Elegant floral aroma with violet and red berry fruit. Very well-balanced flavour with nice ripe deep fruit, good structure, fresh acidity and soft, ripe tannins.
