    Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge

    The wine has a deep ruby red colour with violet edges. The bouquet is fresh with a wealth of red berries and a touch of pepper. The flavour is incredibly elegant and very complex with hints of cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant and fresh spices. The very full-bodied wine has very finely rounded tannins and is silky smooth and with good length in the flavour, but will benefit with further aging.

It needs more flesh, but it's certainly an elegant wine that will evolve gracefully. The blend is 50% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 25% Syrah and the rest Cinsault and it was aged all in wood.
