Château Lagrange 3. Cru Saint-Julien

One of the "new" comets in the Bordeaux starry sky. When the Japanese Suntory group took over the château in 1983, almost unlimited funds were made available to bring Lagrange up among the comets of Bordeaux. Michel Delon from Léoville-les-Cases and the famous oenologist Professor Peynaud were brought in as advisors and a total reconstruction of the property was undertaken. Within a couple of years, the chateau was back on top and now makes one of the best Saint-Julien wines. This is Cru Classé level in its purest form.
