2015 Château Giscours 3. Cru Margaux Magnum

Château Giscours is one of the largest estates in Margaux. The château has historically been in poor condition, and until 1952, when Nicholas Tari bought the estate, only about 10% of the vines produced fruit worthy of the name. He invested both time and money in the estate, and when he sold it in 1995 to businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, the château entered a new and quality-oriented era. Since then, the château has reaped sky-high ratings from the great international wine critics, and today the château finds itself among the most sought after in all of Margaux. The wine is characterised by its aromatic profile, with deep and soft fruit. Make no mistake, however. The storage potential is enormous.
