2014 Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido

The wine has a saturated red-purple, almost bluish colour and a deep aroma of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco and toasted barrel notes that integrate fully with age. You will experience a dizzying level of concentration and extraction in the mouth with dense, cool and dark berry fruit and fine polished tannins. The wine has enough maturity to be enjoyed young and at the same time enough acidity, structure and extract to be kept for at least a few decades. However, don't expect a Sassicaia to reach its peak until after about10 years of ageing under the right conditions. A colossal wine that should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
