    The impressive dark wine has an engaging bouquet of red berries, liquorice and vanilla. The flavour is simply gigantic, with a divine richness of extract and full-bodied tannin. A unique world-class wine, whose only fault seems to be the unheard of small production of just 400 cases per year. "It should now be considered THE PÉTRUS OF TUSCANY" quote Wine Spectator.

Exotic spice, rose petal, mint and red plum give the 2014 its air of cool sophistication. A bit rough around the edges, the 2014 could use a bit of time in bottle to allow the tannins to soften a touch. This is a very strong showing from Petrolo.
