    Cava Gran Reserva Homenatge Finca Peretes

    Sumarroca Cava Brut Nature Gran Reserva is bottle aged for three years before release, which produces a very refined cava in the very intense style that is Sumarroca's hallmark. The wine is made almost without dosage (a sugar mixture that most sparkling wines have added before release), but is nevertheless a generous and characterful flavour experience, which testifies to the exceptional quality of the grapes. The light golden wine offers an intense aroma and mineral notes. The flavour is seductive and silky with super fine bubbles. This cava is dedicated from three children to their mother.

Indeed, charm and elegance are this wine's best attributes. But the background is quite serious, with delicate creaminess and a remarkably persistent finish. Luxury, that is.

    Rich, honeyed herbs and dried apricots, saline and brushed steel. The quicksilver lustre of mercury droplets. Beautiful balance, with dosage à point. The acidity and structure are felt with diamond-tipped precision but the autolysis uncurls and curls with buttery pastry hedonism. So long, with a backdraw that seems to pull you into the wine and a finish that warms the throat, coils around the mid palate and magnetises you into another sip. One of the most complex Cavas I've tasted.
