    Trois Cépages

    The grapes for this wine come from vines that are 10-15-years-old. The terroir consists mostly of chalk, marl and clay. The grape composition of Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard gives an elegant wine with a fresh bouquet of red forest berries and some herbs, the flavour has a fine vibrant acidity which gives an elegant wine with rounded tannins in the finish.

    The 2013 Arbois Trois Cépages is a red blend of the three red grapes from Jura: Pinot Noir (60%) and the rest Trousseau with just 5% Poulsard, aged for one year in used barriques. It's very pure and clean with aromas of wild red berries; it's light colored, clean, precise with tension, with higher acidity than a Burgundy, and with more red blood orange aromas and some meaty undertones. The texture is fine, silky and very elegant. Great acidity and finesse, it drinks very well. Village at Bourgogne Rouge prices!
