Tokaj Plus
Tokai Friulano Plus is a rare wine made from 50-year-old vines, symbolising how well this particular grape variety thrives in Friuli. The wine has a beautiful spicy bouquet of wild flowers and a little honey, a powerful white wine with great minerality and a little citrus to balance the full-bodied finish. 10% of the harvest is botrytised, which adds an extra dimension to the wines, almost like an Alsace Grand Cru. Beautiful nose of ripe and strong fruit with notes of mandarin, melon and pear. The flavour is bold, rich and complex, and the wine can be stored for a long time. Try it with blue cheeses or spicy dishes and Thai food.
