2012 Pillitteri Select Late Harvest Riesling Niagara Penin. 37,5cl

Pillitteri's Late Harvest wines are made from the must of the 2nd and 3rd press of Icewine grapes. The resulting wine is still sweet but less than an Icewine. Late Harvest Riesling is therefore very suitable as an aperitif and is a great match for savoury cuisine in the form of cheese and light Thai dishes. Beautiful light yellow straw colour with aromas of lemon peel, peach and pear with undertones of white flowers. The aromas are echoed in the flavour, which also reveals dried pineapple, pear in syrup and lime. A soft and aromatic wine, where a good balance between residual sugar and natural acidity makes the wine not feel heavy. Serve at 7-10 degrees.
