    Hohenmorgen Grand Cru

    Hohenmorgen Riesling G.C. offers a rich bouquet of sun-ripened exotic fruit and a touch of petroleum. The flavour is dry and full-bodied, and the aftertaste is very long. At the very end, there is a hint of freshness, marking that the wine does have a great ageing potential, even though it is already full-bodied and soft when young.

    Maybe it's the Deidesheim terroir, but just like the Kalkofen, the Hohenmorgen exhibits a certain, if gentle, character of herbs and herbaceous elements, which seem to set them apart from the Forst renditions. This also means a little more bite in terms of acidity, and despite a fair body and powerful performance there is enough room for a delicate measure of fine minerality.
