Core di Montevetrano Aglianico
Montevetrano is one of Italy's iconic wines, and Core de Montevetrano is not directly a second wine, but a wine made from 100% Aglianico from predominantly young vines. However, in the class, one clearly senses the style of Montevetrano and the masterful craftsmanship of the famous oenologist Riccardo Cottarella. The wine has a very dark colour, fine bouquet of spices, red, ripe berries, the flavour is elegant and full-bodied with some minerals and hint of salt and a little liquorice. A full-blooded southern Italian.
