2010 Chateâu Larrivaux Haut-Médoc

The château is located in the middle of the famous Haut-Médoc district near the town of Cissac and has been exclusively owned by women since 1850. The château is known for a very elegant style that the owners themselves attribute to the feminine touch. It is a classic Haut-Médoc with a fine ageing potential. However, made with a slightly - for the left bank - untraditional grape composition, where Merlot takes a larger percentage than normal for left bank wines. The wine is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine has a nice, deep red colour with a captivating bouquet of ripe, red berries and a little vanilla from the barrel ageing. The flavour is full-bodied and nicely complex and very elegant and can already be enjoyed now, but also some years into the future.
