2010 Château La Tonnelle Haut-Médoc

The château is located in the heart of the famous Médoc region, where some of the world's most sought-after wines are made, just a stone's throw from the world-famous Premier Cru Château Lafite-Rothschild. Although the château itself was built as late as the 19th century, wine-growing can be documented as far back as Roman times. Today the estate has been modernised and the wine is a huge success worldwide. The wine from Château La Tonnelle is a classic Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois with a lovely bouquet with lots of black fruit and a hint of vanilla from the oak barrels. The wine has plenty of juice and power and a finesse that you normally only find in Cru Classé wines. Fantastic quality performance in a sought-after class.
