    Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée des Cadettes

    Prestige wine from a small plot called Les Clavelles with 100% Grenache, on the western slope of the famous La Crau Platau. The soil here is typical with its pebbles, red clay and unique sun exposure. The grapes are well placed here in relation to the mistral wind and exposes the grapes to drought or evaporation. This unique terroir gives the grapes a particularly explosive, vibrant and fascinating fruit. 100% whole cluster pressing and 100% new oak barrels The wine is monstrous with explosive dark fruit, pepper and garrique. Although the wine is very powerful, the soft tannins are elegant and the aftertaste seems endless. A monumental wine with a long life ahead of it.

    The 2006, a blend of 41% Grenache, 32% Mourvedre, and 27% Syrah, is a brilliant wine for the vintage. Deep ruby/purple to the rim, with a hint of spicy oak, but dominated by black cherry and black currant fruit as well as licorice, incense, and spice box, the wine is rich, broad, full- bodied, with terrific intensity and a layered texture. It should drink nicely for at least two decades.
